Braved the traffic on Friday and went and picked up a t5 world class. Ended up also with a nice dash top and a carpet set.

Sounds like a pretty solid project. I assume it's an auto? How is the motor? Thanks for the updates and glad to see this '85 has found a good Corvette home.

Later,

Lee

Yeah its an automatic for now. I am planning on converting to a 5 speed next winter. So be then I should have all the parts and hopefully be an easier swap.
The motor seems ok. It's hard to tell I have only drove it about 10 miles since I got it. (One of the kickers of living is a cold state.) I have found that some put RTV on the oil pan. And it still leaks. So I will probably do a pan gasket.

Been working on the seats. The P/O had them installed with just one nut. Turns out that the mounts wouldn't fit. So I fabbed some new ones.

I put a new Pioneer stereo with Bluetooth in. Now just get some rear speakers and the audio is done.

So I was getting the new tires mounted on the c6 wheels. Turns out they ( all 4) are bent on the inside edge. So I'm looking at getting them fixed. Bummer set back.

Yeah a friend of mine was mounting them for me. We were spinning the rims alone on the machine. He suspected after the first one was out of round 1.5 ounces. They appear out of round on the inside edge. I saw the all have some movement on the spin balancer.

Took the wheels in and they are repaired. It turns it was more of a mole hill than anticipated. But they are ready to go.
I figure I have about 60 days to get my car back together for the start of cruising. I still have a bunch to do

A little video my son and I made about the wheels.

Alex Lumbert helped me with another vette video. He's pretty good.

I finally got around to looking at why the blower motor is inop. It was a popped fuse. Yeah for easy fix.

Watched your video. Your son's enthusiasm is contagious and brought a smile to my face. Good luck with the build.
