Default Underhood Lights Wiring Keepers

I am planning to paint under my hood this winter and would like to remove the underhood light wiring keepers so I don't have to mask around them and the wire.

Anybody have any idea how to get the keepers out of their little holes without destroying them? Or where to procure new ones should they be destroyed?

8917236 GM is the correct fastener/retainer with just a simple "rosebud". GOOGLE images for a visual and I'd think still available from GM but expensive. There should be many after-market vendors for the same style rosebud. 8917236 is also the correct Delphi part number and there were many sources for it.

Removal is very straight forward and once you do the visual I expect you'll have no problem.

I doubt there would be any "hoping for the best" involved.

*** There's many plastic fastener removal tools available and I'd think maybe pliers would be among the last choice. I do have a friend though that uses a very small pair of "diagonals" for most of the rosebuds but he's been doing it for years. Some get carried away.

My recollection is that they were really hard to get out. I ran my underhood light wires inside the hood reinforcements, so no problem now. Much cleaner looking and you don't have to work around the retainers when cleaning.

Found them, thanks a million Dale. Took some searching but I eventually ran across them, and only $3 a piece. Could have been much worse.
