I'm not sure about other English speaking countries but in the US the term for this would be the Center of Gravity, often abbreviated as COG or CG. I've never actually seen any comparisons of the overall height and COG of the various generations of Corvettes but the C4 is definitely very low.

You got me curious so I went searching, found this thread:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...f-gravity.html
According to that thread it's around 14 inches. Other threads I found talked about the C6Z being at 17.5 so you may actually be onto something here.

I'm really amazed at how many members we have here from outside the United States. For such a relatively low volume car I think that really speaks to the appeal of these cars.

As someone else posted it is 14". I remember reading the article many years ago that compared the CG to that of an Indy car, very impressive. I am surprised the newer models are higher, especially with the lighter weight materials, but that might actually be raising the CG. The frame and engine now being aluminum, which are lighter and down low, plus the added creature comforts up higher, and a higher roof line.

I believe this was owned by former member Hawaiian Punch:
She's quite low!

The '92 owner's video states the COG is 15".
I found a portion of the video at the following link that is the performance review section. Take a look at about 7:54 into the video.
