Hatch issue/Interior lights

Hatch buttons stopped working in my 88' (still hear clicking) so I figure solenoid needs replacing but now my interior lights remain on....is this related?

I would look at your door switches.

The door jam switch or the switch on lower door near latch? Thanks!
