Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed reading about my build it was my hope that it would be a fun read as well as a resource for other Corvette owners/enthusiasts.

Doing the build was quite fun for me in that I learned a lot about the car and got to improve my skills a bit. It was nice to share the build with the community on this forum.

Cheers

Just wanted to add one final post to this thread, I have driven the Corvette a bit this week and raced at a (wet autocross) today and the car did great and is running perfectly, the repair to the clutch hydraulics is holding up so I think it is good.

Take care everyone!

Great work David..
And excellent coverage, both pictures and write-ups.
I'll bet it was wet out on the slalom course today?
Thanx

Thanks Graham, it was not raining when I first arrived, but I was in the third (of 3) runs groups so by that time the rain had started and it was getting really wet. I left the race early, so I could clean the car up for the Corvette show at Preston's tomorrow. Although after 3+ hours of cleaning (not done yet) I am not sure if I will take the car to the show if its raining...

I've been trying to get three cars cleaned today.
I gave in and came inside....
I might get the interiors done tonight and only take two cars.
I'll be at the DUECK Richmond show.

Do you know the part number for these or where did you get them? I have been looking for 2 days. I finally ordered 2 but they were the wrong thing. Rear knuckle seals.

I got the rear hub bearing seals From Corvette central.
Here's a link to the part:
http://www.parts123.com/corvettecent...50f&ukey=23070

The teflon washers that go between the wheel bearing and the axel stub I got from my local dealership, but I think corvette central sells them also. I can try to find the part number of the teflon washers if you would like?

Hope that helps...

I still have the washers. I threw the old seals away thinking they would be easy to find. So much for that. Thanks for the reply.

With these bolts I can go from stock ride height all the way down to basically on the bump stops with just turning the lock nuts up or down

I am loving this thread. This makes me want to go upgrade everything on mine!!

I wish I could find the same deal on bolts that you did!! Distributors down here are a bit more proud of the metric stuff than $6 ea.

Will you still be able to get it back up to stock with the bolt only being threaded up a few inches? Looks like it would still put you lower than stock?

Thanks for reading my thread, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

To answer your question about ride height, the new bolts have a longer threaded area than then the old bolts did. I can get to about 1/2in of stock ride height with this setup when i measured it. However I ended up with about 2-2.5in drop for my final height. That seemed to be as low as I could go and still have a decent amount of suspension travel. Lower would look better but then I was bottoming out on bumpy roads.

Default Jan 2017 Update

Since this thread has been getting some interest lately, I thought I would give a small update. I drove the car this summer and put about 2,500km on it, did several auto-x, one road trip and several cruises, I only made it to one car show though, hope to do more in the future.

The car drove awesome and it was fun. However, by the end of the summer I started getting the itch to work on it again.

I have started another thread to document the work I have done since. Here is the link:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-vol-2-a.html

My second build, is a lot smaller in scope than this one but I am getting to do a few things I didn't get a chance to take care of in this build such as a brake upgrade.

Thanks again everyone for all the support on this build it has been fun
