I think $10,500 is a bit low so don't get low-balled.

One thing, be careful with people. Cash for keys, and if a wiring transaction is to be done wait for the money to be in your account before handing the keys.

No IOU
No sad stories
No BS

John: thanks for the kind words....when am I ever going to get "my car" back?

Well experienced with Craig's List buyers.....although the last several items I sold on CL has been at the listed price including a car...IF one can call a Camry a "car".....

Anyways someone asked about the dash being cracked, no it is not...see pictures below. Did not take car out of garage so did not get a really good picture, but hopefully everyone gets the picture.....pun intended....LOL....

Oh....that red thing seen through the passenger's side windshield....that is mine and is ALOT of fun.

It will sell on EBAY. Worldwide shopping. CL is USUALLY local, this forum is one of several and do to moderators of the past nd some goofy users many left and will not come to this site. LT4 means something to someone that knows, otherwise to joe blow not that much.

Good advice on test drives
Tossing the keys to someone and saying have fun isnt always a great idea

Let a couple knuckleheads test drive a CRX many yrs ago guy circles the block drops his buddy off at the car they came with and took off, car was in little pieces by the time the pd found it. Happens every day

I do not let the car go out on test drives without me. Have only had one guy test drive it, I turned down his $9k offer.....but I went with him on the test drive.

Regarding payment; have heard that even cashier's checks are not safe, so have to either be cash or as John and I did it, a direct transfer at the bank. This only works because we both had Bank of America accounts.

I though about ebay and that is also where I checked-out prices of '96s; I am low compared to most of those. I would probably have to raise the price to cover the ebay fees.

Actually have had a call from a guy that wants the car at stated price...will wait and see what happens.

THANKS for all the comments......man, am I gonna miss this car!!!!!!! I sold my '81 on Jan 1, 2016 but have not missed it one second.....the CE I am going to miss...especially when I removed the mufflers and put the straight pipes on......what a GREAT sound!!!

I would definately pay $10,500 for your car. But I have a C4 so if I was to buy another Vette I would buy a C5, I like big butt on that car but I like small butts on chicks.

Unless you want to take a lower offer, you have to have patients. The C4’s are not the car most are looking for when they want a Corvette. My friend sold his very nice 94 and got his asking price but it took him over a year to do so.

My 96 came off Craig’s List and it was a pretty good deal to me. You just have to be careful.

You need to put it in as many publications or media outlets as possible to help get it in front of as many possible buyers as you can.

PS, you have a very nice car. 4 years too late for me but I would buy it if I was looking today.

cuisinartvette: nope...have never owned an 86 C10....must be some other "Lanny"....which is not a common name.

I will be putting the car on Auto Trader and Corvettes for sale...still might try ebay.

Thanks again for the comments.

I owned a 96 CE Convertible LT1 torch red interior F45 suspension excellent original shape 67,000 miles were on it. I tried selling it on Craigslist and EBay twice. I had decent interest, but the type of interest that either wanted to trade or low ball me. ebay is flooded with CE edition C4's(8 right now)and most just don't sell. I'd have to say be patient I ended up getting $14,000 for mine. Listing the car on the forum there was interest as well, but once again ppl want that ultimate deal.

That is a more than fair price, it's about the going price here. I am looking at LT-4's and will be buying sometime this summer but would like black or blue. If one cannot be found and yours is still out there I would give you a call..

The car is currently still available...just have not had time to put it in the For Sale section yet or any other forum. Thought Frank was going to take it, but he decided not to.

Thanks again for all the comments. I know that it is going to take the right buyer for this car....which will take some time. I am not in a hurry...not until this time next year anyways.
