Default Long Bolts

For some reason I'm having a difficult time finding a cheap source for 12" bolts for the rear leaf. Anyone know of a source? Yes, I'm too cheap to buy a kit, don't plan to lower the front end.

Did you use 1/2"? I'm trying to find 9/16", I heard that is what I should use.

Found some 9/16" threaded rod there. Perfect, I will cut in half and tig weld some bolts on one end.

Is there a Fastenal store near you?? They will have the bolts you need. Use Nylock nuts or similar as replacement bolts will not have a hole thru them for a cotter pin for a castle nut.

Also try Lowe's or Home Depot too. They will have bolts in the size you want but make sure to get SAE Grade 8 or Metric 10.9!! DO NOT use threaded rod unless you can verify the strength.

Any hardware house will have them. Fastenal, Bowman, Lawson Products, etc. Also Mc Master Carr (as mentioned), Grainger, or any local nut/bolt specialty shop. I spent my first 27 years in Mishawaka. Mom still lives there.

Man, I don't miss the cold.

Bought 11.2inch M14 Grade 10.9 bolts from Fastenal. I can lower my car all the way down to the bump stops with these bolts if I wanted to so you won't need anything longer.
