maybe amoto will get it for 13 now that you p'd him off
j/k sorry it didnt workout

14 isnt totally out of line for a 13k mi car but it better be perfect.

Id always allow 1-2k to be spent on any used car after the fact all you can hope for is not having to.

Curious to hear more on this

Ok found it. The only thing I hate is the window tint on the back window. Through present I have not found a way to remove the tint without wrecking the window defroster grid. I don't remember those fender emblems as being stock either. Still, I'm probably going to run the bid up to the 14 number. His buy it now price is 15. Ill keep everyone posted.

I just paid $10,000 for one with Z51 and 78,000 miles. Seller wanted $14,000.
I would have paid $14,000 for one in mint condition.

Mine also had new tires. There in my shed collecting dust.

Paint is 8 out of 10 on mine.
Interior needed $100 in little stuff and new carpet in the rear.
Interior is 7 out of 10.

Engine runs great but leaks oil. I had to replace intake gaskets.

I am very happy with it for $10,000 because it is a Z51.

I would have loved to pay $4,000 more and gotten one with that low of miles
if everything was a 10 out of 10.

I looked at 2 others in the $13,000 range. I think its worth a solid $14,000 to someone
who wants the LT4. I would not take any car other then a black LT4. I have had
the LT1 cars and did not want another one.

The blue and white have a special vin number that makes them cost more. So, no the others are not GS. Mechanically they are the same.
I have a Black non GS simple because I don't like blue.

Only red flag is the seller is playing games with the price
Chases someone off because they mentioned an oil leak come on! Top buck better get perfection or damn close

Everyones going to see if theres a little room not like hes giving it away

Then comes back and raises his price?
Nice car but not the only one on the planet!

Unless stuck on that LT4 pick up a clean 50k mi Z for similar money

The fender emblems are not stock. I don't have them.
I have seen a few people with them at shows.

Would be interesting to compare the last of our vins if you get it.
See how close in run the two cars are.

All LT4's leak oil from the factory. Its just a flaw they have.

Im sure the intake bolts are loose. Tightening them will slow it down.
My seller also said mine did not leak oil. Puddle on the floor day after I bought it.

6 mths ago I probably would have clicked the buy now at $15,000.
That paint looks perfect. I will have more then $15,000 in mine if I fix the paint.

I think you've covered it all. If you drive it like you say it will soon be an average mileage C4. Its 20 years old! Its not like buying a 2016 car with 15k on it, lots of age-deterioration has taken place. It will still be a great car but it will need parts sooner than you think. Great buy either way. Buy the one you like and forget about the price.

I would have put about 50k miles on it in about 2 years....then flushed it for 8k. There was something really weird about this seller tho and it wasn't sitting well with me at all. Had I felt better about it I would have just paid the 15 number.

Ive been entangled in some serious litigation over cars in the past. I bought an 01 car from "highline motors" (which was in bankruptcy) in Hobart Indiana back in 08 and had to sue everyone over the title. Ultimately, I got a judgement against the Indiana DMV and they had to issue a new title. I have no idea what happened to the lienholder's. I suspect they got peeled. I made good money and enjoyed the car for a few years but the point is that things can get really screwed up when your dealing with an unscrupulous seller. Anyway, I ran the bid up to 14 but I didn't want to go higher since I was having to do the deal sight unseen and I have enough legal problems to keep me entertained for now.

Be patient. There are plenty of them out there that are right on the fringe of being sold. Lots of C5's coming on the market at affordable prices and many C4 owners want to make a move. The C4 isn't for everyone but for those who appreciate its features and flaws, its the only one.

Good luck with whatever you get. I bought a 93 Coupe 6sp Annie Red w/ 60k 18 months ago. We live 50 miles from Monterey and Sat/Sun mornings are great for a breakfast cruise to the coast with the wife. We are back before it gets hot and it's been nothing but a pleasure to drive. From a straight power standpoint, hell I think my Fiat 500e would smoke it from a roll, but I enjoy driving that car over the twisties and down the coast. Drive, Enjoy, Repeat!

What was with the seller you didnt care for?
All kinds of weird stuff out there now never know
spent the last week going back and forth with someone who, Im still convinced didnt own what they said they had for sale. Clever but-
Worse the economy gets more of this we see.
