1987 POWER Antenna
Well came home from work had a great ride home , till turn off car , see antenna not going down , get out to ck and hear motoring running in fender and mask up . Yes this 2nd time had area corvette shop fix 9 yrs ago , they never replaced just fixed old one , well time to replace, just wondering are there antenna avalibale and would it be ok to diconnect wire to relay so can put my fuse back in for the time being . Like to order soon and replace thank you

The only option is to replace the broken antenna mast. There are no more power antennas available to buy, unless you find a used one. Youre lucky your motor still works.
You can disconnect the antenna under the rear hatch trim.

OP - I believe it's important with an '87 to actually get the production number from the antenna that's in the car now. Depending on what you find the choices might change. If the motor runs then maybe the mast package is an appropriate repair. Some instances maybe NOT.
There are maybe options depending upon your concerns for "originality".

There's good write ups on the repair procedure, it's not too bad. It's also a good idea to keep an eye on the parts section for a spare. There have been a few part outs lately. We will have to get together some time.
