It depends on the year to be compared to. An LT4 with the H-pipe can be used on all with just the additional bung for the O2 being plugged if used on OBD1 LT1. To use an LT1 of earlier cars on an OBD2 LT1 or LT4 then the bung would need to be added.

What are you attempting to accomplish?

GM part number 12528810, RESONATOR,EXHAUST (W/EXH PIPE) for LT1 and LT4, 1996 only.
