Default Back to a C4. Fair price?

Hello All. I am considering buying a 1996 Polo Green Vette with tan interior. Mileage is 32,800. Automatic. LT1. Test drove it yesterday and it drove great. No problems at all. My question is I talked the seller down to $9000.00. Do you think it is a fair price? I value the opinion of all members. This is a great forum and used it many times with Vettes I've owned in the past. Thanks and God bless.

Not sure where you're located but prices differ a bit, you wouldn't be able to get that car with that mileage for that price where I live unless it's a rare find, they'd want more like 11-13k+

Sounds like a real cream puff. Well worth it, IMO.

Love the Polo Green/Tan combo.

All the best!

Here in the Akron Ohio general area, cars like that generally are listed for 12.5/13 regardless of being from a dealer or a private party.

That is a good deal in my opinion

It would cost more to rehab a higher mileage C4 to be that clean.

Looks like a very good deal to me, but I am partial to Polo Green and tan.

That is a really good price. My car is a little older and a few more miles, maybe 2000 more miles, I was getting offers of $12,000.

Price is relative. If it's the car you want and for a price you're happy with then it's a good deal.

I would say that is a decent buy; there are $5000 C4's out there, but they are nothing like that and like mentioned, if you put the funds into those heaps to make it as nice as that one, you will have more than $9000 into it easily; if the interior is nice, then it is a good buy assuming all other aspects of it are in great shape. That car was garaged and pampered.

Even being an auto that is a fair deal with that mileage and shape.

Here is Vancouver, BC. a car like this with 32,000 miles is going for about 14-16K (CDN). So I would also agree that this is a decent buy.

If the car checks out, that is an incredible price. Here in Columbus, Ohio, that would be on a dealers lot easily in the 12-14K range. Late C4s sell fast around here in the summer months.

Good luck with your decision!

This local listing is similar. A year older and higher mileage, but very clean.
