From one who has BTDT, it was the best dang thing for me!! It took 40 years off of me! Had a bypass and a valve job, in October 2013 and did the RAGBRI (bicycle ride across yours and my home State- as you well know) the following summer! And, I feel great!

Just take it easy, and become religious about diet and exercise. Then you'll be around for decades to enjoy our hobby!!
