'88 - left wiper arm has a crunch sound when it parks
The last two times I ran the wipers there was a "crunch" during the park operation. Both times the small plastic clip that routes that washer was dislodged. I did a small adjustment to park it slightly higher but the problem has continued. See pics - I drew a straight line to aid in visualization.
I'm thinking that the arm is actually slightly bent now (they are the originals as far as I know - passed NCRS as such). Is this it? Is my course of action to bend the arm? Or?

Yes - I got TF which was gratifying.
I forgot to include in the post: after the wipers are "parked" which really means the left is hung up on the plastic ramp the clip that holds the washer hose is dislodged and the wiper rubber is arched such that only the ends are in contact with the windshield and the center is over 1/2" from the windshield. Huh?

Just some thoughts here. Did you have the wiper arms off the car? Might not be oriented correctly is one thought.
Have you tried swapping the left and right blade and see if that makes a difference? Might be something wrong with that blade.
Assuming these are oem style blades. I've had catching and 'falling off' issues with some aftermarket ones I've tried in the past. I found some from NAPA that fit and worked correctly.

Ah Minnesota - my home for 60 years before retiring to SW FL.
The arm hasn't been off the car for 15 years until now. Unlike many earlier wipers these are keyed and can only go on in one position (no tweaking like my '61). It looks so simple. I think I'll take the right arm off and compare the bend to the left.

Looks like problem resolution. I bent the arm slightly downward in the area of the clip which resulted the the rubber fully contacting the windshield. During one test cycle I noticed that the left arm was under the right arm slightly so I adjusted the right side to sweep slightly more to the edge of the windshield and the right to park correctly. All looks good. Will add buying another set of arms on my shopping list so that I can have spares. Just need to find a donor '88.
Thanks for the thoughts. Back to the '61.
