Default Exoticmuscle Carbon Fiber hood?

Well my car needs a new hood and I am thinking this is the best opportunity to upgrade to the hood that I have been lusting over for years now. Does anyone have experience with the Exotic Muscle Carbon Fiber hood, how is the fit and finish? Let me know all I need to know

you may want to try the advance search function on the forum. I remember this thread https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-arrived.html but its a different make hood.

Is it for the MAYBE 40lb weight savings?

Do you just like the CF look?

They are too expensive, and not that much help on a street car.

I spoke with Merl, I believe that's what he said his name was, and the hood weighs 28lbs it is all carbon fiber and is identical to the stock hood in design and everything, however none of the carbon fiber weave is exposed and it comes gel coated and ready for paint. I was hoping with this upgrade to most importantly get the 75lbs weight savings over the nose of the car but retain some of the look of the CF. But with this hood I will not and the hood will look completely stock inside and out

I only mention it, BECAUSE there are some threads in the last couple years that say they are not saving 75lbs in weight.
