Help my hood was binding as I pulled it open(drivers side) so I spent some time adjusting the pin and spring. I moved the pin and closed now it will pop open still but it is binding severely.Passenger side is fine but I can't even get the hood open after using a few blocks of wood to pry. My backup pull loops will also pop each side but I cant get past the secondary binding what could be causing it to be so stuck?

It's the shape of the hood latch stud that causes the problem.



I suggest loosening the 3 latch mounting bolts (if you can get access to them). Once the latch is loose you should be able to move it away from the position that is causing it to hang up and bind.

Thanks for response, I will remove tire and liner to try to reach the bolts. I will then file the end round again. I can't believe how tight it is even though it pops up 1/4 inch
