1988 c4 differential can it fit 1985 c4
I have a 1985 c4 that I'm restoring and got a new 1988 convertible c4 that I'm using for parts I want to use the differential of the 88 to the 85 and the doors are these parts interchangeable any help will be greatly appreciated it thanks .

The doors and the differential (center section and half shafts) are interchangeable. You may have to change a few electrical connections on the power windows. The outer hubs and assemblies are different, but can be modified, but that would require quite a bit of work.

OP - the differentials aren't necessarily the same. If both cars are A4's then yes, if both cars are M4+ then yes but if one is an A4 and the other an M4+ then it will work BUT you've got to change other components to make it work. You would need to use the C-beam and the drive-shaft along with the differential to make it work.
