95 won't start
About three weeks ago after driving an hour turning it off would not start after sitting about ten minutes had to sit for an hour before starting drove fine. Put some dry gas in it now after sitting a couple of weeks it starts right up but dies in 2 seconds and will not start. new two years and 1500 miles fuel injectors and filter. I'm thinking fuel pump and screen ?

Don't start replacing parts. First get a fuel pressure gauge and make sure about the pressure. Second take the ignition module in and have it checked out. Failure AFTER running is usually ignition related.

After spraying carb cleaner in the throttle body when it won't start and it runs for a second I've narrowed it down to fuel problem going to put a fuel pressure gauge on it can someone give me the numbers to look for ? Hopping it is the fuel pump.

I just checked my fuel pressure with key on/ engine off. It was 35 psi. Left key on for about 10 minutes - went down to 25 psi. I'll check FPR when I can get it started again to see it it's functioning properly. When pulled vac hose, no smell and no leak from FPR. More to come. I'm glad my truck is my daily driver lol.

Key it on a few times without cranking the pump should run for 2 seconds and hit 40+ . If not look at the pump, filter, sock and pulsater. I would change all.
Shoot some fluid in the intake if it fires you have your answer.

Update: Got'r started and checked FPR and checks out Ok. A rise of approx. 10 PSI when hose pulled. Injector o-rings check out ok. Took of ICM and it and the plate it mounts to were almost dry as a bone. Took it to O'reilly's and they check it on their machine 3 times and it came up bad on all 3. Will get new one tommorrow. Hopefully will solve problem.

Update: Just changed the ICM (with special sauce haha), took it for test drive to get it nice & hot. Got home, turned it off, started right back up 4 times. I love it when diagnostics work out.

I found out I need a new fuel pump. I picked one up but after some research on the placement of the screen I am totally confused on how it should be placed. could anyone show me the correct way it should go ?

How did you determine it was your fuel pump. I thought I solved the problem with a new ICM, but it's still happening. Would really love to know as I am stating to get a little crazy with this haha

The screen should go in the same orientation as the yellow tray in the tank. Here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OMF59hf_B4
Fast forward to about 12:26 or so.
