I know this sounds stupid, but I'm trying to find a ground for an amplifier that's going right behind the passenger seat. I know there's a ground up on the pillar, but I can't figure out how to get the cover off while I hook up the ground cable.

If it's not easy, is it OK to ground on one of the bolts holding the seat on in that area?

My amp (400W Focal) is mounted in the same area and yes, the seat bolt holes are a good ground. Insure good metal to metal contact and you will be fine.
