Your top C4 detailing products are?
What are your top choices when it comes to these detailing products?
Deep scratch removal - filler compounds, touch up paint brand & type? Will be doing just s mall area
Light scratch & swirl removal - polish or other compounds?
Orbital pad size- pretty set on Griot's Garage Random Orbital but should I go w/ the 6 inch or 3 inch size? Maybe the 5.5 inch adapter for the 6?
Paint sealant - Haven't used these before. Recommended?
I see a lot of highly rated products but want to know what you guys have used on your C4s, especially you guys w/ a showroom finish! You guys got that gloss like a boss look
PS Feel free to share pics if yah want Thanks

So I want to get my car to really shine. I'll be doing a pretty full detail using clay bar & a dual action/random orbital.

I DEF recommend sealant, it last so much longer than wax, and you can wax on top of it.
They have a very informative site and youtube page:

Any Mother's or Meguiar's product is excellent. I've used them for years. I always finish off the painted surfaces with the 100% Meguiar's Carnauba Wax. I don't use the 'synthetic' versions.

I like Adams, and don't forget a few coats of Glaze great before car shows.

Melting Slicks
Use plenty of Adam's wax with Meguires car wash and interior detail for dash, door panel, console and steering wheel.

Thanks for the replies guys. Your C4s look amazing of course.
Any of you have more input on paint sealant and what brand/s to use?

I'm about to use my Porter Cable on my 93. Meguiars all around, clay bar followed by 105/205 and wax to finish it off. I use to use Zaino, but this does the job.

Safety Car
I've been using Aerospace 303 on the interior of my cars for the past few months.
It's a little on the glossy side but it holds up better than anything I've ever used. btw-When I say gloss it's not anywhere as bad as Amorall.

Clay Bar, Buff with Orbital Buffer then P21 Carnuba Wax in the spring. Maintained all summer with Mothers Detailer.

Nothing like living on a dirt road and having a BLACK car to ferret out the differences in wax vs. polymers.
I found...
I stopped looking after I found Zaino; looks as good (or better?) than top of the line wax products, but w/o the maintenance issues. For example, I used to have to do the Dawn/claybar routine every spring, and sometimes repeat again before the driving season was over. With "Z", Once and at least 2-3 years between claybarring again.
Like I said, it isn't just the shine, but how much work it takes to keep it looking good. THAT is the difference!
I found...
- The end result depends on the condition of the paint, i.e., preparation.
- Many products will give great results - especially when first applied.
- Wax finishes (especially on BLACK or dark colors) in the sun are to dust and pollen as flypaper is to flies! (Don't even think about buffing wax in the sun!)

I'm shocked at how often people clay their car...
Now this vette I have is the opposite of my BLACK Firehawk...I don't care...if it gets wet in the rain, etc....
I'm going to enjoy this car and not be so ****/stressed out
