After the same dilemma, I used Citrustrip to remove the clear. Lucas metal polish maintains a better than new brilliance. Adding chrome lug nuts adds a little bling. Wash with mild soap, and Never exposing to road salt are key.

Anyone know much about those companies that will fix your road rash and re-clearcoat the thing?

I've read a few threads on it and lowest I've seen is $160/wheel highest $250/wheel. At those prices I'd rather throw in a little more for aftermkt rims!

Yeah so I guess there's no avoiding the strip of the clear and aluminum polish. Just gotta find the most efficient way to do it now.

There is a company that reworked the wheels after the Corvette Museam sink hole swallowed the cars. It is called AWRS, they quoted me $135 each to bring my wheels back to the original look.

Good to know. I'll give them a call.

Always good to know which company knows their stuff and which company sells junk. Thanks
