What do U think, is this WP OE????
1987 vert. WP was leaking from bottom bolt on drivers side. PO had been there and tried what looked like several different substances but still leaking just a bit. So, I bit the bullet and removed it. Inspection revealed a dry weep hole on the bottom but with a trail of greenish scum. So I ordered an Eldebrock and I'm dead lined waiting for parts.
Meanwhile, here are some pictures. What I would like to know is:
1. Is there any way to determine if this the OE pump?
2. Is it likely rebuildable. If it is OE I would love to have it rebuilt and keep it for the next chance I get to reinstall.
I'm not sure it can be read in the pics but there is a stamp of 69. 86S on one side. Or it could be S98.69. I can't tell which. If 86S computed to 1986 September that would be right on for the build date on the car. If so what is the 69?? Any old factory guys hanging on here?
