Waking up my friend's 6k mile B2K Callaway Twin Turbo
My friend Chris and I have talked about making a short video on his gorgeous Twin-Turbo Callaway and finally had some decent weather last weekend to make it happen. He's the 2nd owner and the car is in near showroom condition with only 6k miles. It doesn't get driven too often, hence the cranky cold start, but everything works and the engine is so smooth.
It's still got the original tires, so we didn't drive too fast, but nonetheless it was a lot of fun!

Nice video. It's good to put a face to the name CallawayChris. I've only seen one C4 Callaway and that was this past September at a Corvette show in Wilmington NC. All I can say is it looked to be "rode hard and put away wet" , nowhere near as clean and nice as this one. They are beautiful cars and bring back many memories from my youth when I looked forward to the new car mags each month. Thanks again

Here's some very basic material on the B2K Corvettes.
They're one of the C4s that you should collect. I'm working on a story that will be posted shortly. I spent some time back in the day with Reeves and the development process was interesting. In the end Reeves and the Corvette went separate ways. That's another story though.

The most interesting item here is that at one time GM was selling the B2K (1987 to 1991) and the ZR-1 (1990 to 1995) at the same time. They had the same price point and roughly the same performance levels.
That had to make sense to someone at GM. I just don't know who.

A friend of mine in our club has one of those. It's a very nice car, but it never leaves the garage. It's nice to save a car like that, but it's also a shame to have something so valuable that you are afraid to use it like it was intended to be driven.
