What year make and model is your van? I have a 95 chevy van that Hagerty won't pick up because "it's a van"...so it just sits

In PA with classic or antique registration you're only supposed to drive 1 day per week or to shows/events/etc. But not sure who checks! That's how the mileage is restricted.

I have the same coverage both of mine (75 and 91) with road hazard and 100 miles towing on a rollback for $500.
The Nationwide agent here handles Hagerty Ins. but I'm not sure if that is the same in other states. Age, driving record, and location will effect the premium.

I got rid of my PA antique tags a few years ago because I drive them year round as much as possible. They really don't have a way of policing the cars use, as their is no way they get mileage do to no state inspection required. Just have to make sure you don't pass the same LEO every day.

Currently have 6 cars ensured thru Adam at the museum. Very happy with the coverage, agreed values and cost. They all have a 5000 mile limit, are garage kept, not driven to work. Primary vehicle is thru AAA which you need have insured separately. Give them a call!

Two ways to register in PA, Antique at 25yo w/ no inspection and Classic at 15yo with annual state inspection, but no emission check. I'm registered as a classic w/ my 94.

If your 94 is regular PA registration then you'll need annual inspection and emissions. If you're low miles between annual inspection (not sure how many miles) you may not need emissions each year. Might pay to spend the $95 for classic plates. It's a one time fee that doesn't need to be renewed each year.

yah, i figured i would wait until its 25 years old since i already have my antique plate thats also a lifetime plate but thought being a 94 i didnt need emissions. it would be cheaper to get the classic i guess. i recently bought the car from pa with only state inspection but it was from a small town where they dont need it anyway i think. thanks for replies

On a previous car I used Heacock classic insurance. They were pretty easy to work with.

In Pa, if you have owned the car for at least 365 days & have driven less than 5,000 miles, you are exempt from a emission TEST, but they still do a visual to make sure all pollution control devices are intact

Default Van insured as collector

My van is a 1969. I had to do some fast talking and they had to take a hard look but they said it was OK. I have my 1995 Honda Civic del Sol with them as well. This car is actually on their OK list. The 1974 motorcycle they did not want to include but they relented and are covering it under the same blanket. I had others quote and they either red lined the bike, the van or were about the same price.

Can anyone give me recommendations?

Here is a synopses ('96 CE valued at $15K)

Grundys - unlimited miles, $0 deduct = $256

Haggertys - 3K miles limit, $0 deduct = $534

Classic - 3k miles limit, $0 deduct = $263

American Collector - ($100 deduct) = $337

JC taylor - 2500 miles limit, $0 deduct = $269

Haggertys is very high compared to the others, but I'd like to get opinions from people's experience with these different companies

TIA!!
They had to make a mistake on your Hagerty quote. I have my 95, 78, and 79 all with them and pay less than your quote on one car.
