For my 96 CE vert, Haggerty quoted me $640 for a full year, 250/500 $750 in Spare Parts, $500 deductible for comprehensive coverage and a $500 deductible for collision coverage.
I’m 62 with a clean driving record.. WTH?
Oh ya, I'm in Michigan.

Safety Car
I looked into NCM for my 86 and they dont offer coverage in NY. I went with American Collectors. Agreed value, full coverage, no mileage limit, and I drive it to work (secure lot). At home it must be kept in a garage. Costs me under three Benjamin Franklins a year.

AAA membership is not reimbursement for towing. Meaning that you don't need money at the time of tow. Just show your card and you're good per your membership level. Classic is 5 miles, Plus is 100 miles, Premiere is 200 miles. You get 4 service calls per year. Included is battery boost, flat tire change, fuel delivery free (except for Classic you have to pay fuel cost) auto locksmith- C: $50, Pl: $100, Pr: $250, winch and extraction, (trip interruption, rental car coverage :Premiere), bicycle service. Plus you get discounts wherever the AAA card is accepted. Also if you use your AAA towing benefit it's not a ding on your auto insurance record (and possible auto insurance premium increase at renewal).
American Modern Classic car insurance underwriting guidelines require before issue:
- Completed application.
- Photos of your car: All 4 sides, engine bay, interior.
- Garaging picture if other than at home.
- Copy of your primary insurance declaration page.
Limits on your primary auto policy must match the limits on the American Modern policy.
They require one daily driver car on your primary policy for every licensed driver living in the house - This to assure the classic car is not used as a daily driver. It might get aproved IF the car is garaged other than home.

Drifting
I have Grundy's which is Philadelphia Insurance company. They require me to pay out of pocket and then get a reimbursement check for glass. Never had an accident. Very cheap. Obviously the reason for the low rate is little to no use. I have 3 Corvette's on the policy. All declared value at the price I paid for the car except for the 1988 C4. I set that one at $10k due to the ridiculous amount of cash I have sunk into the car. I advise being careful about what time of the day you drive the car. Getting in an accident on a Monday morning on your way to work might be problem of unauthorized use of the vehicle. The last thing you want is to have your insurance company argue about paying.

Melting Slicks
3 caqrs on Grundy, the cheapest by far and minimal drive restrictions. All I have done is send thme checks, and the real test for any policy is a claim. that's why I canned 7 policies with USAA.
I was going to use NCCC until the underwriters changed denied insuring an '89 7er.

Race Director
Collectors Car Insurance. $290 a year for 91 ZR-1 agreed value $40,000 and 63 SS Nova Convertible agreed value $16,000. 6000 mile annually can't remember deductible. I used to have Hagerty but when they raised my rate after the Russo-Steel nightmare a few years ago I canceled.
