Default cleaning the radiator area

What is the best method for inspecting and cleaning accumulated road debris up around the radiator?

I have researched this and all I found was pulling the radiator and spraying the fins with a water hose to clean out the trash. The fan shroud is the hardest part because of all the screws that need to be removed to get it off. Some have modified the fan shroud so that in the future they could pull the radiator without removing the shroud. Their are youtube vids on what it takes to pull the radiator on a C4.

Yep pull and clean get the ac coils too do not get your opti wet if you have one. The six 7mm screws are a pita in the nose.

Yep, but they can be reversed so it's much easier on the second go around..

I have a '86 Coupe and I have cleaned this area several times. Now as a way to prevent the debris from accumulating, I bought a piece of hardware cloth with about 1/2 inch mesh, painted it black matte and used small tie strips to fasten it to the lower dam area. I have eliminated the problem.
