Excited new C4 Owner
Hey guys, figure now is a great time to introduce myself and my car. I sold an old project Chevelle and had sunk too much money into. Decided I wanted less of a project. I graduated back in 1995 and the C4 Corvette was the car we all dreamed about (other than Vipers and Lambos) Anyway, figured it was time to make that old dream come true. Spent a few weeks looking and stumbled on this one. Car looks great, is mechanically sound and runs perfect (does have 111k on the clock though). Was missing a radio and had a check engine light so I talked her down quite a bit off her asking price.
So her story was she was given the car by her dad who bought it about 7 years ago at a collector car auto auction. He didn't drive it much other than to stretch its legs once in a while and get the maintenance done. She got it back in May, realized it was "very impractical" in her words and needed money to buy a truck.
Autocheck came back clean, with no accidents and odometer true and accurate.
Check engine light was a coolant temp sensor and is already fixed. Cannot believe how much better it runs now. Will have a new radio installed in the next week or so.
At some point the hood louvers were added and I assume the car was repainted as the paint is in great shape. The ZR1 Wheels were also added and they replaced the engine tag on the console with an LT5 tag lol. Guess they really wanted the ZR1. Anyway, excited to be part of the community and look forward to chatting with everyone.

She was asking $7500, I paid 5k
As far as I can tell the engine is a stock LT1. When I saw the pic of the LT5 badge that was the first thing I asked her to send was an engine pic.

Looks like a good buy. Here is a pic of a previous C4 owner's car. Not sure if he is on the Forum any more:

Welcome to the C4 club. Got my '94 LT1 in Aug. same here with the ZR1 wheels and the PO put on ZR1 tags too!! tags can't be removed without ruining the paint. I'm amazed at how many Vette guys do a double take thinking its a real ZR1 - LOL. Enjoy the C they are a blast!!

Welcome, Looks to be in good condition with lots of miles of smiles left. If the ZR-1 plaque on the door bothers you just find a new door or remove it these plaques are after market and they also make one for the correct LT1.

Actually, those hood louvers aren't that bad. I wouldn't put them on my car, but they are fairly subtle and don't look ricey/aftermarket. I really like the red interior. I'd say, for what you paid, you got one very good deal.
Welcome to the brotherhood.

The hood louvers actually work. I made my own. I dropped my brake temps several hundred degrees with the holes in the hood. Mine are positioned directly over the brake caliper.
