I can understand the toasted one being parted for what's left, but the 1st one looked too nice to part out. Something must have ruined or stunk up the inside beyond all redemption. Just looks too nice and low miles for it just to be parted out.

The first offering is from someone definitely related to a "salvage facility" of some sort. He's been mentioned here in the CF previously Shawn? Sounds maybe familiar!!!

IMO a 18k mile 96 CE would be an expensive donor car for a street rod. Since there is no shortage of drivers, unless LT4. It could be owner had it a while, and wanted some different. Some car builders or owners don't see the value of the donor just the value of what they are building. On a car show, the builder needed an SS Camaro vert for a high dollar build. Found and bought a very good number matching 396 vert to resto mod. (a waste). In the course of negotiations they asked for a better price if they sent him back everything they did need. They only wanted the shell. It could have easily just cloned a base vert and saved the SS for some one else. The part of this that bugs me is :these cars always seem show up too many miles away from me or when I'm financially stressed. lol
