This officially ends the C4 season
I know this is nothing for you northerners but here in the NC mountains this officially ends the C4 season for awhile. My driveway (yeah, it's there) and the view from our deck.

Sure does! It looks like it starts the snow shoveling season too.

Yep....snowing right now here in Jersey. But even if we get some nice winter weather I won't take my cars out until the rain washes all of that nasty salt off the roads! To me car season is anytime there isn't salt on the road. Unfortunately some years I don't get back out till April!

Beautiful! I saw Franklin is dropping to -1 tonight.
Yours was the low point, temp wise, on our weather guesser's map.
My new neighbors from FL chose last night to move in. Their UHaul is snowbound in the front yard.
We'll be back on the roads by Monday. I'm enjoying a rare weekend off. Short end of season.

Melting Slicks
I know the feeling. I live in British Columbia, Canada and we have had an usually harsh winter it has been snowing here for a month. Normally we have mild winter with only a few days of snow a year. I can't remember snow ever being on the ground for a month strait and its suppose to snow again today. O-well makes you appreciate the summer driving season more.

Been cold/snowy here for months now. So much for rumors of global warming.
Looks like you guys are also enjoying the snow these day. I drive a pick-up 99% of the time and work in the bush, so the snow doesn't bug me to much.

We have not had 'much' snow here so far this year, but enough to be messy. On the other hand, it's been very cold lately as in -10 F lately in the mornings.
Personally I'd rather have the snow over the cold. With snow, move it and you're done with it. Cold on the other hand seems to just hang on.

Been living in the NJ/NY area all my life...at times I look forward to the snow...lately I'm not to fond of it...hopefully when I retire I'll snow bird it to Florida to avoid this cold white crap!

I did not. Sounds like a fun gathering. I'm still curious to see what's left of our MR5 hangout.

Looking back after retirement
First two years after retiring in east TN we came down to PCB for 6 months to try out the area. After moving here its nice but to darn hot in the summer! If you can swing it rent a condo for the winter in FL and go back to real trees and mountain roads for the summer! The kids and grand kids will visit you in FL.
