Default Anyone running LED's in their fog lights?

If anyone is running LED bulbs in their C4 fog lights with good results I would like to know which bulbs you are using and some night photos would be great.

I have cheap LED bulbs from Fleabay; they don't put out much light but they illuminate more if that makes any sense at all... They look great when the sun is setting going on 2+ years

I have HID fogs. You can buy some bright LED's. Go on vleds.com and get the 880 led kit. 880 is the same as 896 now. But I know that number is for the 91-96. Not sure if 84-90 use a different bulb.

Default Fog light replacements

I have 2 C4s. One has 35 watt HIDs. They are about as bright or a little brighter than the original halogen bulbs. they allow me to drive safely at dusk, but they're no substitute for the headlights when it gets a little darker. (I picked 35 watts because the higher wattage bulbs required some rewiring to keep from blowing fuses, IIRC)

My coupe has LED bulbs. The make great DRLs, but put out no light that's useful to the driver. I got them a couple of years ago before the higher power LEDs came on the market. They were about $20 a pair back then, so its no big loss to replace them with the more powerful LEDs you can get today, and I might do that.
Here's a daytime pic of the HIDs, but I'm afraid you can't tell much about brightness, but the color is whiter than Halogen.

I'm happy with it. Love how C4s look with the fogs on. So I might look into going 55 watt HID.

I like that look too! Did you have to modify the electrical? What's the brand?

Thanks! I didn't modify any electrical stuff. But if I use a 55 watt ballast, I may have to. The bulbs are 5000k from retrofitsource.com and the ballasts are from corvette mods. Well one is, I had to replace one. They did send me replacement ballast, but they were all bad.

Can the lamp handle the heat of a 55 watt bulb?

Just a quick tip
A 5000k bulb with a 35w ballast will be a different color or hue when using a 55w ballast just something to think about.

I bought a pair of LED fog lights at superbrightleds.com for my 88. Sorry no pics but replacing an almost 30 year old light bulb has to be better.

You can use a 882 bulb and get 50 watts. Replace the TAIL fuse with a 15 amp fuse and you'll be set.
