Ok....I found that heating up Brake Trans Safety Interlock would allow it to function properly and that this should only be used to investigate what is causing your car to be stuck park and also to allow the car to be driven home if it gets stuck away from home. The day after I got it to work it got stuck again, in the garage, so I took the advice of some of the forum members that I spoke to and just took the Solenoid off. Problem fixed no harm no foul. It's very easy. Use a flathead and pop it off the shifter assy. It is the black cylindrical part closest to you. Disconnect wire, tape end of connector, and tuck away from shifter. Put everything back together. GL.
