1 Hot C4

Since I can't bring myself to push my 93 as I have on the other Vette's I have had, does anybody know the top end speed of a 93 40th :cheers:

My understanding is that an LT1 will do about 150 to maybe 160 on a nice long flat stretch....someone please correct me if Im wrong. :blueangel:

A stock '93 LT1 should be able to hit about 168mph
I had my '93 LT1 Ruby up to 162mph and it still could of gone faster but I was running out of clear road.

I had my 93 to 164 with the 2.73 in the rear with still pedal to go just going over a bridge and starting to float as I was hitting the different sections didnt want to end up at the bottom of the gulf of mexico. I topped out at 161 @5500 rpms with 3.73 gears the other day. :jester

I've always heard the LT1/LT4 cars were capable of 165 to 170.

its governed to 170mph.
i know that on the interstate i turn about 1850rpm @80mph, there a 5500rpm redline...you do the math..

i didnt realize there was a speed govenor on them how do you take it off? computer? i always thought i heard somewhere that the tops speeds were LT1=161, LT4=171, LT5=182 give or take a couple for each

There is no real govenor on 93 Corvettes.

I think you mean they are rpm limited...not sure if that is accurate either as only late model corvette that runs out of rpm before power is Z06 (~175 at redline)

I would say 165 is realistic. I've only seen one test where a LT1 did 170 and that was six speed and a 95 model.

Best way is to do it and let us know:D

we have a 92 and we've hit 143 but didnt want to blow the rear end gasket because its almost gone...going to corvette doctors on thurs sept 26/02
