Default 95 door panel fix-it

The door panels on my 95 couple are in great shape but the front of panel, right next to the dashboard, is pretty loose. It gaps away from the door by about an inch when its open but the dash pushes it back into position. I suspected a missing or broken attachment pin or such but there just isn't anything there. There is a hole in the door where such a pin would snap in but there is nothing on the door itself. No hole, no pin. The underside of the panel looks perfect. I hate to do something silly like putting a sheet metal screw through the thing. I'm thinking of gluing some velcro or such to the inside panel. The panel looks like the original piece. The rest of the attachment points are all in place and all work fine. Any ideas?

Most likely missing or broken Christmas Tree fastener....10 required per door panel.

Normally I'd agree. There are 5 or 6 christmas tree" fasteners in my door. Typically they are clipped to the backside of the door but these actually go through and show as buttons on the frontside along the bottom of the door.

Search for "angle bracket door repair". It's easy and effective. My 94' doors are rock solid now (Same ones that are on your 95').

When I search "angle bracket door repair" it just brings up this thread. Got a link to it?
