Test fit did not go well
Kind of figured it wouldn't but had to try.
I tried to see if my cast would fit between the side of the foot well and the brake pedal. No joy. it over hangs by about an inch or two.
Looks like no driving the vette (or the MR2) for at least another 2 weeks.

I sympathize. I had shoulder surgery Jan 5th and wasn't allowed to drive for a month (Dr didn't want me to make evasive maneuvers if someone pulled in front of me and rip out the repair). I am slowly starting to get it working again.
The weather broke here in Ohio long enough for me to take the Vette out for a couple short excursions.

Well, I'm hoping for good news tomorrow. it's been 6 weeks in this cast and I go back tomorrow. Hoping he at least moves me to a brace that fits in a shoe.
it hasn't been completely wasted time. i managed to fix a few things
under hood lights
Turn signal lever not moving to right
horn buttons
new hatch bumpers
unclogged the fuel filler drain
swapped the console lid
replaced the LCD connector in the cluster
new door panels (actually flawless used ones)
painted the spare tire carrier
painted the exhaust tips
some engine cleaning
