Well get off your lazy butt and go write it down! :smash: :jester
I'm in the registry :yesnod:
Thing that bothers me is no matter how many times I select, and re-select, and re-select AGAIN base suspension and base engine, it will never say it in the options list! :mad
Also the programmers that made this forum possible with their software need to check out the whole City issue. San Antonio is registered as San if you edit your info.

That's one of those things I've been meaning to do. Why would you memorize your VIN? Seems like a pia to me.

That's one of those things I've been meaning to do. Why would you memorize your VIN? Seems like a pia to me.
For example: 1G1YY23J7P5100001
where the first "1" is the nation of origin-USA
"G" is manufacturer-GM
"1" is division-Chevrolet
"YY" is the car line-Corvette(YZ is for ZR1)
"2" body code type-coupe(3 for 'vert)
"3" code restraint system-manual belts with airbags
"J" LT1(J-LT5,forget what LT4 is)
"7" is a check digit and will vary
"P" is the year-1993
"5" is the assembly plant-Bowling Green
the last six is the plant sequential number
So as long as you know what the first 11 digits are(most are pretty close to the same except for the obvious) you only have to really remember the last six.
Simple huh?
