I can definately tell the car flexes more and doesn't feel as solid. I was thinking that since there is a frame surrounding the lexan, it wouldn't make much difference over the solid top. Guess not... :seeya

Solid top definitely "feels" better

I dont get it....I drive mine constantly without the top (its a solid roof panel) and yeah, I can tell the difference in how much it flexes. But is it that big a deal unless youre doing autocross or some other sort of racing? Maybe Im missing something here....

On an autocross I feel 0 difference with and without the top on. Driving around town on uneven roads there is a big difference.

I wish they had an LT5 version of the brace.

I've never installed my other top. Maybe I do it in the spring and see if there is a difference

I figured the winter months would be the best time of the year to have it on because the sun shining through wouldn't be a problem versus the summer in Fl... Most of the chassis flex with the top off is felt through the steering wheel over bumps and the whole car when turning (through an intersection esp) over uneven pavement...

Hmm, I've never realy noticed this flex with glass top on or off.

Though I now notice a little vibration in the clam shell over bumps; maybe due to to chassis or retainers loosening from drag racing with hard launches.

Yeah, to me it's a big deal... I have the solid targa top and I've had it off for less than 5 miles of driving since I've owned the car... The big deal IMO is that the car feels like a piece of junk without the top on...

I swear it shakes/flexes more than my 3rd gen IROC Camaro did with the t-tops out... That I could deal with, but it's so much worse in my Vette...

I only have the glass top. When I take it off after it has been on for a few weeks I can feel the difference for a few blocks, then I am just having too much fun that I don't notice it anymore.
