New Shocks--What To Get?

New Shocks--What To Get?
I did a search, nothing really came up that answered my question. I have the base suspension, but I kind of need to replace my shocks. I was wondering if it's possible to use the Z51 suspension shocks, or if there's something better out there. I'm looking for optimum performance, but something that's streetable. :steering:

 I have been using the Z51 shocks for quite some time, i am on my second set.
I also switched, recently, to the Z51 sway bar set up, 30mm front and 24mm rear. Now I am very very happy! :D
Car alsways cornered great, I think the Z51 shocks contributed some. Now with the new sway bars, it corners like it's on rails.

Re: New Shocks--What To Get? (GDP)
My 96 Coupe Came stock with the Z51 RPO... Alot of forum members have commented that it isn't much different than the base setup. Now keep in mind they did not appear to have a Z51 ... Yes it is different.
I have never said it was better ... it is not for everyone. It is just different!
Now also keep in mind that my motorcycle is a rigid chopper. (Hardtail) ... NO rear suspension at all. And I am also still pretty young. (37). I know I have not provied any technical help ... I simply hope that this will give you a little perspective.

You ran a search and found NOTHING?
Hell this comes up at least once every two weeks, get bilsteins.
You can use the base or Z51, or even call them for custom valving.

I know to get Bilsteins, is there even a noticeable difference between Z51 and base shocks? Just curious, because I've seen them both at the same price.
