Solid Paint Color & GHOST FLAMES? Anyone have this done on a Corvette?
I'm now thinking of going with black exterior and red interior, Black with Red Guts. :D I was given the suggestion from a fellow Forum Member of having Ghost flames in red? Has anyone done this to any year Corvette? Any color combination, just want to see how it turns out

Black w/ red is another one of my favorite combos on a Corvette.
As for your question, I have never seen ghost flames on a C4. There is a shop near my home where a guy has a F-150 4x4 that is painted a nice shade of Admiral Blue w/ a pearl in it that has ghost flames in purple. It does look sweet.
I say go for it, and let the rest of us drool over your paint.

HOw much would that cost? And I should only go half the car length right? Start from the front and end near the middle or end of the door? Or should it end shorter or should it go the entire length of the car? Thanks for the reply :yesnod:

If it were me, I would have the flames lick at the gap between the hood and door. If the search function were working, you could do a search and find the guy who did pearl white GF's on a dark blue. Looked sweet

There is a C5 guy with a Torch Red(Jim Dawes) car with whitish ghost flames and another C5 guy with a black car(mhefner) with purple ghost flames. Looks awesome.
Or you could go for the realistic thing.

Would you know his Username?
Mr. Mojo, I searched for Jim Dowes, And I think he owns a Red and Silver C5, but none of them have flames

I know there's a guy with a dark green C5 that has ghost flames. Mean Green 2000? Not sure. Anyway, I think for ghost flames you'll want to go with a pearl, and red would stand out too much to be a real ghost. Ghost flames just vary in color slightly...
Here are some ghost flame pictures:

This is Mike Hefners car, it looks much better in person.

As for Jim Dawes, I noticed in his sig one time he showed a Torch Red car with ghost flames, but I can't find the pic.
I'll have to get in touch with him and find out.

WOW  That looks really cool, but I wonder how it would look with red flames?
BTW, how long does it take a good paint shop to change my car from red to black?

gbvette also has a black C5 vert with purple ghost flames just on the sides and doors which turned out looking very good. Nothing that powers you or takes away from the car but definetly adds to the looks of the car. I think they might be in his sig picture.
