C4 Rebody
Does anyone know of a company making aftermarket bodies for a C4 chassis? I know that Rowley Corvettes makes a Ferrari Daytona Spyder body for a C3 chassis but I can't find anyone taking advantage of the C4 chassis.

Re: C4 Rebody (vette_dreamer)
There used to be a company making a "Vettearosa" body kit which on a Vert looked very close to what a Testarossa would look like sans roof ;)
A guy in town had a black one and EVERYBODY thought it was a real testarossa - C4 flat dash was the clue it was not

I don't think your gonna find much as a rebody for the C4.
The rear 2/3rds are a wacky quasi-unibody arraingment.
Thats why no one really messes with the b-pillar back.
The bumper covers, hood and lower front fenders are bolt on's, the rest, bonded to the frame. It makes doing major changes rather problematic.
Then there is the legal issues... Ferrari shut down the body kit makers some time ago. Back during their heyday in the Miami Vice years.
You MIGHT be able to find an old C3 body kit and add the C4 suspension to that chassis.
Good luck and welcome.

You might check out Amercian Custom Industries (ACI), their website is
http://www.acivette.com/aci0021m.htm for C4 covettes. Mine has the Stalker wide body kit. However, I'm the process of selling mine, and getting an OE red/red '90. Wanna buy it? :D

Re: C4 Rebody (Bodhi)
I remember a while back, someone posted a link to a Calloway Aeroboby kit. It was comlete and brand new. Price was likely astronomical. You could Try that C5 west i think it is. The sell those C5 update kits for C4's( which we all love so much here  ) I believe that have a variety of Body kits .

Re: C4 Rebody (Bruthish)
Why would you want to put a body kit on a C4?!? If you're not pleased with the way the car looks as it is, why would you buy it in the first place?
Besides, do you honestly believe that somebody trying to 'create' some other car based on the C4 platform is going to do a better job from a standpoint of styling then the professionally trained (and hand selected) GM designers on the Corvette styling team? Not likely.
If you are REALLY hell-bent on changing the look of your C4, the only recommendation I would make is the Paul Deuchman designed (and real-world tested) Callaway Aerobody kit. It's not cheap by any means, but don't half-butt something like the aesthetics of the C4's exterior design.
Like all Corvettes, the C4's design is timeless.

I want a body kit that makes my Vette look like a Dodge Caravan. That way I can put louvered blinds (kidnapper style) in all the windows and drive around incognito. :D
