If all you're wanting is the larger Cowl for intake clearance (or appearnace)...have you considered modifying the stock hood? Any decent fiberglass shop could do it...and for a LOT less than a new hood!

Rumor has it that these folks are going to make a "big block" hood like on the '67 vette. A "Stinger" hood. I haven't heard if it's available yet. I'm curious how it'll look.

I don't like any of teh aftermarket ones on teh market right now. What about one following STOCK LINES, but just 2" taller? Teh Toledo Pro one widens out like a tear drop, and teh Vana Corvette one starts rising at teh very front of teh hood where it's normally flat on a stock C4. I don't like either one.

:iagree: I like 383 stroker's though...I guess maybe it's the white paint...I would like to see a hood like the older Firebird/Trans-am Pro-ams or the new ones with the ram-air hoods. I know C5west makes a similar "add-on" but it's not the same.

C5west, hhmmm, I saw a complete C5 body kit from C5west and I must say I would never buy anything from them. The kit was unfinished, I mean it had chips all over. But hey don't let me stop anybody from buying from them, I just can't see myself buying from them. :nono:
