Default Glass cleaner suggestions

Before I got my vette, I never worried much about a few streaks on my car windows after I cleaned them. But streaks on that big rear glass are driving me nuts! Windex is useless, and Armor All window wipes aren't much better. What do you all use to get your glass as clean as humanly possible???

What GS919 said. :yesnod: it's the very best no streaks or film left at all. When it rains I rarely have to use wipers. The windshield is so clean that the water beads and rolls off.

Armor All Glass Cleaner, and newspaper. Best stuff I've ever used. See my other thread. "Detail Tip"

Thanks for the suggestions - went out at lunchtime to find either of these to try. No luck at auto parts chain or Wal-mart. 3rd stop at Meijer's store I found Stoner's for $3.99 and a rebate for $4.00, so I'll end up trying it for free. Hope it works.....

Thanks all

I use Dirtex on mine. It cuts all the dirt away and leaves them nice and clear.

If you're talking about the INSIDE of the windows, no matter which product I use (Stoner's, Sprayway, plain Windex), I always come back the next day and buff the glass with an old t-shirt. Even though the windows may look spotless on the day I clean them, I always find a streak or two the next day. Buffing the clean, totally dry glass is the only way I've found to completely eliminate streaks & haze.

No matter how much I clean my windows they still look hazy. Winshield and rear window. Is this common? It looks as though it's between the glass. Is that possible?

Well, the Stoners worked just great. I did every window twice (inside & out) using the suggested daily newspaper. No more streaks in my future!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

The insides of the glass is a pain. Apparently it gets oils from the leather seats. Makes sense to me.

I think they have stoner's at my local shop, i'll have to pic some up.

this may sound crazy....but i used rubbing alcohol and a cotton cloth...cut all the haze and NEVER streaks....even the auto parts guys recommend it here....just be careful....it strips everthing off the glass.but it will also strip wax and eventaully clear coat....so don't get it on the body at all....and keep it off the plastic interior parts....it will pull off any armour all type product and make the nice black plastic look gray.

Default Glass cleaner suggestions

Sprayway. Very good stuff.

If you're headed to a show or want super clean glass....Get it the best you can with your regular method....grab a damp terry cloth towel, soak the glass then take a clean dry towel, wipe it dry and the glass will look awesome. An old timer at a show told me of that method. Works well.
