Z52 Handling Package
Hi all, I have a 1988 convertible with the RPO z52 sport handling package. Can anyone tell me what are the components, other than the 17" wheels and 275/40 tires? Shocks, big bars???????
Thanks in advance,
Charlie

The Z52 option included a radiator boost fan and heavy duty radiator, engine oil cooler, Bilstein shock absorbers, 17 x 9.5 in. wheels, larger front stabilizer bars, 13:1 steering ratio and increased structural improvements from the convertible model.

Then I was correct the first time. Z52 was standard on all verts. Check the Black Book. I also included the cross body brace under the car, that I seem to scrape from time to time. I believe the only difference between 51 and 52 was spring rates, and the 52 package had 9.5" wheels on all 4 corners. But I don't have my black book in front of me and don't recall all the details.

Z52's were only produced between 87-88. Basically same thing as Z51, except Z52 utilizes softer springs. I don't think Z52 came standard on ALL verts..but I do believe it could be ordered on all verts.

Z51 was only available on coupes and the Z52 was optional on both body styles. The X-brace was on the verts only regardless of any suspension options and the extra stiffeners at the front crossmember on the verts became part of both the Z51 and Z52 packages.
