What rear end ratio(s) were available in the 1996 LT1 A4? This is for a friend of mine, he just bought it.

I have a 95 and it's the same for 96....you have the standard ratio which is 2.59 then an optional ratio which is 3.07 most have the 2.59. Mine has the 3.07s and the way you can tell is look at the rpo codes if you see G92 AND G44 it has 3.07s if you don't see that he has 2.59's. Oh and the ratio is also stamped on the diff.
