Gold Emblems?
Was thinking of changing my broken and faded emblems with the gold plated after market ones from Mid-America. Does anyone have these or seen them? Are they as nice as the stock ones? I like the gold look but my experience with aftermarket stuff is the quality isn't there.

You'd be right in this case. Know of two different people who switched to the 'gold' emblems, one on a C4, the other on a C5. In both cases, within just a couple of months the gold was tarnishing and, in one case, peeling. Both these individual's keep there cars in 'show room' state, so it wasn't from neglect/misuse. Both said they were a total waste of money and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Other's may have had different experiances, but these are the only two I know of and both had the same -- bad.

Got the emblems used in great shape. No problems. Got the gold door handles used. Still no problem. Bought brand new gold exhaust tips.
Nice No emblem on the back. I figure if ya don't know that's a corvette in front of you, ya can't read the word either. No emblems at all on my red '77. Everybody knows it's a vette under the cover

Don't do it. Besides the quality issues mentioned, it really looks ghetto.
