I think he means black buttons with white graphics, which was 1994-96. It would work with your '90 but the buttons would not match the rest of your dash. The orange face unit he has might have gray buttons (1990-91) or black buttons (1992-93).

Just checked mine, they are black / gray buttons with orange lettering.

So if that is one of the ones you are selling, and it is the same as a 90 ZR1 I am interesed, please send photo nickb@adept.co.za

1990 should have gray buttons with orange graphics for all the dash buttons and the stereo. Just trying to be helpful.
