Re: test pipe for sale (Mace)
FWIW, I'm pretty sure from 86 up they used welded flanges and/or slip joints with clamps on the cat. 85's used bolt on flanges.
An exhaust shop could easily set up your exhaust so your current cat is flanged to the same length as the test pipe so you can interchange them yourself. Any shop will be able to do the fabrication for you but some may be unwilling to physically install the test pipe on a street car for you for legal reasons. You'd have to bolt it up yourself at home.

Nope, the 85 test pipe he has will only fit 85-Early 86 models (without aluminum heads).
85 cats have four bolts on front and four bolts on the back of the cat.
86l-8* have two bolts in the back and slip on the front with a u bolt.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's the way my old '85.
(I used to own an '85 and an '87 and I took the exhaust off a couple of times).
