F/S----ATI 8" treemaster converter TH-350
2 months and 200 miles or less on this converter in a mild 355 mini-blown chevelle. My chevelle didn't have the rpm range ATI made the converter for and its a very tight converter, just too much flash stall. It was supposed to be a 4200-4400 converter but just was too much flash. No track time and paid $649.95 for it on Spring 07' sale price. Regular price is 699.95 + shipping. Converter had a never gotten hot,I monitored trans cooler temp and it never got above 200f. Always was cooled via big 2 QT extra pan,3/8 tranny line to a B&M Hi-Tek cooler.
I also have the reciept aswell I can show a pic of and also will be mailed to new owner.
Looking for $400 firm + shipping .
Size 10 1/2 shoe BTW

How much torque were you making and what did it flash to with your setup? what were you running for tires and gears? Thanks Ron B.

Guesstimate on the tq must be only 500ft/tq. It feels almost like my 455 70' LeMans did which was built only for torque. Pontiac had more due to being 468cid and medium crower cam,10.8comp/ported heads probobly made 550tq and 475hp on good gas.
Im running 3.73,eaton posi/Toms Axels, long studs 325/50R15 M/T drag radials......yes they rub a bit....It flashed to 4500rpms from a near stop and spun a bit. If it hooked it would hit almost 4k and grab HARD! I MEAN HARD! I almost hurt my buddies neck when he wasn't ready. Seriouly,it was too much and it just ripped for the first 1/8 mile then the last 1/8 mile it was not feeling as if it were going anywhere casue my 355 was already out of breath. Never seen track duty, had pulled out to go with a ATI 10" Treemaster thats closer to 3000 rpms. With the new converter I finish still climbing in RPMS and it feels matched now.
It needs a 355 MR combo with D44 geared rear. JMHO

BTW,its the best converter I've ever tested,it was tight around town and it seemed like a 2200-2500 stall around town. Couldn't almost tell it had a huge stall in it. Very impressive built converter. You could be at a stop light and it would still want to accelerate,it was a must to keep the foot on the brake unlike some cheap converters i've felt. Just had to share more info on it.

I would be interested in your converter, but probably would need to change the stall. ATI I believe would do it for $175-$225. Let me know, if you have reconsidered your Firm selling position.
OMG...I just called ATI to get a exact cost to change the stall in one of their converters is ~$350.
