Default For sale - side effects, side pipes for 1986

Hi guys,
I am finally selling my side effects, side pipe exhaust system. You can no longer buy these (they don't make them anymore). They are off my 1986 show car and only have 2,000 miles on them. I believe they will fit 1986-1990. Everything is bolt-on. The side covers are painted dark red metallic. The whole system is in mint condition. I would like to get $1,250. and you must come to Buffalo, NY area to pick them up. I will not ship - the system is just too big.
Thanks!

They look sweet!!

Too rich for my blood (at the moment), but worth the money to the right person.

Good luck with the sale

Just to let you know, that system will fit up to a 91with the current splitter that is on it. If anyone would want it to fit a LT1, you would need a different splitter for it from Joe at Power Effects.

Wow! They Do Look Brand New. I Have Never Seen Them On A Car Before, But I'll Bet They Would Look Nice On My Car. Do You Have Any Pics With Them On Your Car. I Am Definetly Interested.

Still for sale guys. Someone has to want a set of these. They are like brand new, and the sound is somthing totally different for the c-4. I really dont want to ship them or take them appart, dont want to ruin the gaskets if they are no longer avail.

I want those for my 92. I don't know if you can get the different splitter anymore.

Default Surprised

I'm surprised this is still out there! I thought it would be gone last night.
From the appearance of the rear pipes it appears this system was either on a 'vert or it could be installed on one. The rectangular pipes have the provisions welded to clear the X-brace/support. It sure is clean! For sure it's "conversational"!

The later LTx splitter is still available with the required front y-pipe and I'd guess maybe $335 - $350 would buy it shipped to anywhere USA.

BTW --- Go BILLS!!!!!

Yes this system was off my vert. It fits under the cross brace, Im pretty sure it will fit the coupe also. I dont see were there would be a diference under the car, I have owned both a vert and a coupe and the only diff was the cross brace on the vert.

Not a problem on a fit for a coupe but I thought I'd mention the modification to the rectangular pipes for the 'vert "fitment"! Are the loose black plates the jacking plates?
I know someone that might be interested but he's on "holiday" presently. He'll be gone another maybe 10 days. I'm originally from Pa south of Jamestown by 15 or so miles.
I do the trip ocassionally and if he were a buyer I could likely make the arrangements to pick it up! If you land a buyer for sure sell but I'll make him aware of them as soon as he surfaces.

PM me a phone # and I'll give you a call!

Did you find clearance issues with speedbumps or driveways? I've been wanting a set of these for a couple years, but "settled" for the normal PowerEffects instead since I was concerned about my driveway which already scrapes the front airdam.
Thanks.

Nope, no scraping at all, but I do run clear plexiglass mud flaps to keep the stones from the front tires hitting the pipes.

still for sale! The pipes hook up behind the converter, so this system is emissions legal.

I need to check with my banker (er, wife). Might be too much cash as we approach the holidays, but I'd love to have them. Do the pipe covers get hot, or are they well-insulated?
Thanks.

No, the pipe covers only get warm, you cant get a leg burn like the old metal sidepipes. The covers are fiberglass, and where the pipe itself comes out at the rear of the cover there is a chrome tip.

Meh. Her reaction: "They're HOW much???" So I'm going to have to pass on them, much as I hate to. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a buyer given their immaculate condition.
Thanks anyway.
