FS: Correct Oil Filters
I have several NOS PF25 BLACK filters with the correct AC lable. This is the correct one for our L98 engines. It is the finishing touch for the cars that people desire to keep original looking. I am a NCRS guy and have a few left over. I have some NOS Blue ones also.
You cannot get these anywhere near this price!
Black $18 plus shipping
Blue $10 plus shipping

The black never was available for purchase. It was an installed filter at the factory. If you made the black filters what did you use? The only filter that would work for that would be an older PF-25 with the flat bottom, and the flat part of the filter would be about the size of a 50 piece. I am just curious as to what they are made of!I wish I could have found one , I used a NAPA filter which was pretty close. It passed judging!

It is a NOS PH25 painted the proper gloss, with the proper lable Black printed on silver that was reproduced off an actual filter.

I have a question about the blue one. Is it different from the current blue AC Delco PF25 that I just bought for $3.68 at Advanced Auto? I'm not trying to shoot you down just wondering what the difference is.
EDIT: BTW they also had the black version too. It looked taller than the blue one but it did not have the silver sticker on it. It was $5.59

The one at Advance auto is a PF454 it is shorter than the PF25.
The ones I have are for people who want to keep their car original.
The black one you saw is not what we have here, it is correct for the "original from the factory" look and detail right down to the lable.
When you see cars that sell for $3500 and others the same year sell for $19000 it is because the owners had the forsight to leave it 100% original.
Did you see some of the cars on Barrett Jackson? The price they command (and got!) is because they are original....not molested.
Sorry about my rant

My judging manual, Green cover, for the 87-89 actually has a picture of the correct PF25 filter, it is long, black and had the silver lable.
Also it specifically states that the PF454 is a replacment and to deduct accordingly, -5 points on originality
So this is an easy way to add some points back.
The devil is in the details!
