TPI Vortec intake-New
Hey folks, new here, but watched for parts over the past 9 years. I am located one hour east of Bowling Green, KY.
I currently own a 1988 Pontiac GTA and have, over the past several years, gathered parts to build a stronger engine.
Things recently changed and I have sold the engine long-block (never fired) and have some other parts remaining.
I have been trying to sell parts on thirdgen.org and camaroz28.com and decided to try here.
For some pictures please use the link on thirdgen.org. If you have trouble viewing or want more pics, please contact me at
jmssrf@scrtc.com
for more pics or info.

Here is the first item:
New, never installed Scoggin-Dickey Vortec TPI intake. (Made for Scoggin-Dickey by Edelbrock). Designed to fit Vortec heads and FastBurn heads.
Vortec bolt pattern.
Bought several years ago for a now gone project. Only bolted to heads for mock-up purposes. Never run.
VERY, VERY ported.
Ported by me to fit AS&M runners (1-3/4") on one side and GM FastBurn heads on the other. Multiple hours in porting involved by me (I've built many race engines since the mid-1970s).
I could sell the AS&M large tube runners that this was ported to but they are on my GTA right now and they would not be cheap.
Head side ported to fit Fel-Pro 1255 gaskets.
These are BIG ports.
Included with this intake will be several fittings, egr block-off plates, bolts, and f-body TPI specific water-neck.
The Fel-Pro gaskets will also be included and can be used to port-match your heads but should be replaced before buttoning up your engine.
$350 including shipping if in the lower 48 states. (Cost way more than that new).
United States Postal Money Order ONLY. No checks, no offbeat money orders, no PAYPAL. United States Postal Money Order ONLY.
I will ship United States Post Office by first choice. Second choice will be UPS but shipping could be slightly more.
jmssrf@scrtc.com
I will also post an ad for the ZZ-X cam in another thread, as well as for the new set of Crane Hydraulic roller-lifters.
Thank you for your time.

I have had several contacts on the Vortec Intake but no definate purchase (where someone says: I will take it and am sending money order).
Still for sale.
This morning, I took some pictures of the top of the intake if anybody wants to see those.
Thanks,

Thanks. There is indeed a lot of work in the porting.
I wasn't looking for more flow but to make sure it was balanced.
I had the intake bolted to my set of FastBurns (that easily outflowed the intake). Also, there was no runners hooked up. Just the flat opening.
They did flow 230 to 238 at .500 lift and 245 to 252 cfm at .600 lift on a Superflow.
After getting those results (in 2003-that is how long I've been working on my now gone project), I worked a little more on the "lesser" ports.
I did not get a chance to reflow them but I really believe I balanced them even more.
I was satisfied with that as the large tube AS&M runners are rated at 260 cfm.
Anyway, thanks,
James Spear

I actually prefer cash, but with long-distance sales, it is not practical for either party.
That leaves me with what I strongly believe to be the safest method for both the buyer and seller---United States Post Office money orders.
I hope you understand.
