2) Pioneer 1.5 DIN Head units
BOTH DECKS ARE SOLD
I have for sale 2 used Pioneer 1.5 Din am/fm/cd players. These were made in the mid/late 90's and I bought them used on ebay within the last couple of years. I have one of these same style deck in my own c4 and it fits and looks nice, and kind of goes along with the digi dash in the early models. I bought these in anticipation of my own project but wound up not using them. First I bought the one with the blue display, even though I wanted the orange one, because these are hard to find and I didnt want to pass up on the one I had found. Then later the orange one came up for sale so I bought it too. Then later I found another one identical to the orange display one, except it had an aux input jack, so I bought it and that is the one that is in my car currently...so I have these first 2 left over.
Both are detatchable face and include wiring harness and have one set of rear RCA outputs
DEH-40DH is SOLD.
DEH-43DH is SOLD.
Here is a pic of what these decks look like in an early c4.

I have an 86 with the stock bose casette deck. Can I just swap it out with the one you are selling or do I need to do or buy something to make it compatible with the bose amp/speakers? Thanks

I am not 100% familiar with the bose setup in the c4, but I do know a good bit about the newer bose car setups, so assuming it is like those there are basically 3 options.
1) Hook it up "normal" so that the deck's speaker level outputs are driving the bose amp inputs. You'll be amplifying an already amplified signal, so you'll have limited volume adjustment on the deck before you get distortion, and you'll have to keep the volume level reasonable. In other words, if the deck runs volume from a scale of 0-20, with 10 being normal listening and 15 being loud for most people, running the bose amps in this manner would put normal listening in the 4-6 range and "loud" in the 10 range, and if you go over 10 you'd get distortion. This is the cheapest and fastest method.
2) Bypass the bose amplifiers but reuse the bose speakers. At each amp would be 2 wires from the deck going into the amp, and then the amp drives the speakers. YOu would use the input wires and run them directly to the speakers bypassing the amp altogether, to let the deck run the speakers directly. This will probably be the option for best sound.
3) Use the RCA outputs from the deck to drive the bose amps. Since the RCA outputs on the deck are low level they are appropriate for driving amps. You'd need a cheap set of RCA wires to cut in half. Once you do that, the RCA wires will plug into the deck, and you'll be left with 4 wires on the other end. THose 4 wires would get connected to the harness in the dash that feeds the bose amps. THe head unit amplified speaker leads would not be used in this setup.

There are also the next generation of pioneer 1.5din decks which are the ones most people are aware of, the 45, 47 and 77, but I never much liked those because of their funky layout and shapes on the faceplate. These are still about 10 years old or more at this point.
